TIME PERIOD: 1976
ORIGIN: USA
HISTORY: Charles Marion Russell (1864-1926), also known as C.M. Russell, was an American artist of the Old American West. He created more than 2,000 paintings, sculptures, and illustrations. Russell captured the life and spirit of cowboys, Native Americans, and the landscapes of the American West.
Frederic G. Renner was a noted authority on Charles M. Russell. He wrote extensively about the artist and his work. This book is likely a biography or a collection of Russell's works compiled by Renner. Given the "New Concise Edition" designation, it is probably a condensed version of a larger, more comprehensive work.
Abrams is a well-known publisher of art books. A concise edition would make the book more accessible to a wider audience.
